Work in Progress
Today we carried on with editing together footage we filmed last week. The aim of this task was to show that we know and understand the basic camera angles e.g. extreme long shot, medium shot, close up etc. and also for us to learn how to use Adobe Premiere. Today I finished cutting down my raw footage so I was only using the best and most relevant clips.
Rather than just filming random objects and different angles to prove we understood the task brief. Charlotte and I decided to put a story behind our footage.
Our short film shows Charlotte walking home and she is being stalked (whilst including all the required camera angles of course).
When editing the short I avoided using transitions between clips for dramatic effect. I added a cross dissolve at the end of my film so it fades to black.
Next lesson I plan to add music for dramatic effect (the music I will actually include is still undecided) and also titles.
Good stuff here, Zoe; some effective use of screengrabs. A good habit to get into.
